Biography

Paul, Chris, Richard & Julian have been friends since 2003 after meeting at a college in Cardiff. They soon realised they had a similar love of rock music with influences from Led Zepellin to Guns N Roses and this drew the four together and the core of what has become Zenyth was formed.

Many days and weeks of playing and pulling together their influences led to live performances in and around Cardiff and receiving Radio Play on BBC Radio Wales in 2004.

At the end of the following year Zenyth created their first 4 track demo of original music based on their rock influences and further live performance in Cardiff & across the UK including a near sold out Cavern Club in Liverpool. More regional radio play and live performances in South Wales further enhanced the growing reputation of the young five piece rock band.

Their growing reputation continued as in 2006 they gained recognition through a nomination at the Vodafone Live Music Awards in the Kerrang Sponsored Category. They also gained support slots with The Answer, Louis XIV & Toby Jepson.

Musically Zenyth had grown and began to move away from their classic rock influences, but still maintaining their penchant for powerful live music. New influences such as The Foo Fighters, Oasis, Audioslave, Muse & Incubus had a big impact on their creativity and new material was flowing.

This new found creativity saw Zenyth produce their debut EP ‘Alone’ at the end of 2006 and it was released in 2007. This led to National & Regional airplay including XFM & Kerrang and being awarded a Top 5 emerging band by Eddie Temple Morris in 2007 and a Coca Cola sponsored performance at ULU in London & a slot at the Mid Point Music Festival in Cincinnati, USA, unfortunately the Detroit Immigration police detained the guys for 48 hours and they missed the festival.

On return from their USA ‘mare the band hit the studio and used their experience to good effect and recorded ‘Time Wasted’, their 2nd EP with 5 powerful tracks of which, ‘Mr. Nobody’ & ‘First Kiss Last Kiss’ were released as singles. Adam Gregory joined the band as the new drummer & main stage festival performances followed with the likes of Pendulum, Alabama3, Lost Prophets, Zane Lowe, Scouting For Girls & Viva Machine.

Currently Zenyth are receiving airplay across the UK & Europe and gigging up & down the country and delivering huge live performances and powerful new songs that will be aired in the near future.
